SRD (Syria Relief & Development) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing crisis humanitarian relief and advancing a comprehensive, sustainable development agenda in Syria and the surrounding region for over 13 years. Our extensive portfolio spans healthcare, protection, nutrition, education, livelihoods, and food security. What sets us apart is the intersection of our work in healthcare and the protection of women and children, resulting in a strong focus on reproductive health, gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response, as well as maternity and newborn care.

Hope Delivered: Safe Births in Syria

Motherhood should begin with care, dignity, and hope, not fear. In Syria, many women face childbirth without access to safe care. SRD is changing that through our four birth centers and hospitals focused on safe deliveries and healthy outcomes for mothers and babies.

Join Our Mission: Nurture Mothers & Babies

SRD’s four birthing centers provide safe deliveries, emergency care, and essential support for mothers and newborns. From routine births to complex C-sections, our skilled teams save lives and reduce maternal and infant mortality. After birth, we empower mothers with nutrition and lactation support to keep babies healthy and strong. Last year, we delivered 13,111 babies, including 1,683 life-saving C-sections. As Syrians return home, demand is rising while resources run low - help us ensure every birth is safe and every baby begins life with strength.
